New Year's in Gatlinburg!!!

This New Year's, Jordan and I decided to go to Gatlinburg for a little getaway. This used to be a yearly trip for me and my family, but Jordan had never been. I really wanted him to see all of the amazing attractions that the Smokey's has to offer. We have had a great time and have done so many things. We have been to two dinner shows, including the DIxie Stampede which is my favorite!! We have walked up and down Gatlinburg, rode around Cades Cove, and absolutely stuffed ourselves with peanut butter fudge!! Im not quite ready to come home just yet, but we are very ready to see our families and little Roxi who is staying with her Nona (my mom)!!

Christmas 2008!!

Jordan and I just celebrated our very first Christmas together since we have been married!!! We had a wonderful and very busy holiday that began at my Mom's for Christmas Eve. We had such a great time with all of our family and friends. On Christmas, we got up very early and I cooked breakfast for me, Jordan, Mom and Dad while we all opened presents. Our favorite present was a 42" Phillips LCD TV ;) After that, we went and ate yet another Christmas breakfast at Jordan's grandparent's house in Dora. Then, we were off for lunch at my grandmother's house and our final stop was my father-in-law's house in Corner. Needless to say, it was a very long day but a great one. It was my favorite Christmas yet and I know that Jordan and I will have many many more to come! We are so blessed!

My brother and sister in law got a tea cup poodle for our niece from "Santa". So unti l Santa is able to come bring him to her, we get to keep him!!! We call him Sugar since Alabama is going to the sugar bowl this year! Roxi and Sugar get along so well. She is going to miss him so so much when he has to leave :(

Finals Week :(

So these past two weeks have been the most stressful of my entire life!!!! Not only have I had a billion projects, papers, business plans and presentation due, I am also right smack dab in the middle of finals..yuck!!! I am actually taking a break from studying right now just to vent about it a little! All I want to do is be completely done with this semester---the worst semester of my life! Thank goodness, my classes will be cut in half starting January because I only have three classes left until graduation!!!! It is so hard for me to believe that it has almost been four years since I started towards my bachelor's. So many things have changed...I have lost touch with some friends, made new ones, got married, bought a house...the list goes on and on! After all these years of being told that I am just a child, I have finally started feeling like an adult--even though I have been one for quite some time! As much as I hate this week of tests that every college student dreads, it is almost a bittersweet feeling for me to know that it is almost over. On the other hand, I now get to look forward to other things like grad school and starting a career, which will be here before I know it!

Our First Christmas!!!

I cannot believe that we are about to have our very first Christmas since we have been married!! Christmas has always been so much fun for both of us, but I know that this year will be so much more special becuase we have never been able to experience it from this point of view. Now we are able to begin our own traditions!----I have no idea what they will be, but isnt that the point of a tradition? Every Christmas tradition that I can remember wasnt meant to become a Christmas tradition, it sort of just became one! I cannot wait to see what it is that will carry on to every other Christmas after this one!
